Stretching classes for the rest of us
From time to time, depending on numbers, I will run stretching classes over the course of several weeks. This class is for all sizes. These classes are desiged for the larger ladies and gentlemen and those that just feel socially uncomfortable. These classes will be run in an environment where the student won't be judged and will go at a pace for the individual. Baggy t-shirts and track pants are not only welcomed but encouraged.
Stretching is good for...
Stretching gets the blood moving around the muscles and strengthens them. Holding stretches regularly, for short periods of time, can increase bone strength particularly when small weights are used whilst stretching.
Stretching for Flexibility
Stretching loosens up joints enabling the individual to move freer and easier by increasing flexibility. Of course you would not be expected to be able to stretch this high in the beginning but would slowly work up to this level.
Stretching makes you feel good
Stretching is also a great way to improve your mood and reduce stress.
